Overview:

With the purpose of engaging with diverse stakeholders for testing and validating its research, SHAPES conceived a set of eight Dialogue Workshops throughout 48 months of activity.

The 1st dialogue workshop is a one-day event happening online on 12th May 2020 and intended to gather SHAPES partners, academics, students, NGOs and many others.

The Workshop will unveil the project’s preliminary findings and in particular:

  • The SHAPES projects and its key messages
  • Ethics requirements for digital solutions
  • Co-creation of think tank for European Integrated Care
  • Foresight exercise: thinking about future technologies for the users of the future
  • Use cases, personas and scenarios

While the morning will be dedicated to present the above mentioned topics (YouTube videos), the afternoon will give space for discussion in smaller groups. Each group will get to discuss each theme, therefore 4 workshops will run parallel on the Zoom platform.

The workshop is organised by one of the partners – Palacký University in Olomouc, with the support of AGE Platform Europe.

From Tuesday 14 April 2020, follow the various SHAPES social media: news, debates and polls will be posted in order to prepare the participants to the dynamic interactions of the Dialogue Workshop.

Links to presentations (YouTube) and workshops (Zoom) will be provided to the registered participants. Language and subtitles: English and Czech.

Sari Sarlio-Siintola, Laurea

Presenting: Ethical requirements

Mrs. Sari Sarlio-Siintola, MSc (econ); MSc (social ethics), works as a senior lecturer and as a project researcher at Laurea UAS. In the SHAPES project, she holds the position of Ethics Manager.

She graduated from Aalto University of Business in 1987, ICT systems in business as the major subject. In 2008 she graduated from University of Helsinki, with Social Ethics as the major subject. Her main research-, development- and teaching interests includes social responsibility management and ethics of innovations. Sari Sarlio-Siintola has been/is responsible for the ethics work in several EU-projects, including FP7 funded INACHUS, H2020 funded WeLive, H2020 funded RANGER and H2020 funded MARISA.

Olaf Mueller, CCS

Presenting: Co-creating think tank for European Integrated Care

Olaf Mueller is the managing director of the Carus Consilium Saxony, which leads the Work Package 9 of SHAPES project, focusing on building a SHAPES Ecosystem.

In his position, Olaf aims at improving regional health care levels in the rural areas of Saxony, Germany, since 2015. His track record includes several large EU-funded projects aiming at improving e-health on a regional, national and European level.

An economist by training, his former affiliations during more than ten years in healthcare were with the Dresden University Hospital as project manager and with a large health insurance company as head of in-house analytics.

During the first SHAPES Dialogue Workshop, Olaf Mueller will present the work done so far by CCS for co-creating a think tank for European integrated care.

Eva Dubovská, Palacký University

Presenting: Use Cases and Personas

Mgr. Ing. Eva Dubovská, Ph.D. (F) studied Management at University of Economics in Bratislava and Psychology at Prague College of Psychosocial Studies. Recently she completed her Ph.D. study in Clinical Psychology at Palacký University. She is a lecturer, researcher and therapist. She was involved in many projects focused on the well-being and resilience of elderly people (such as the DIPEx module on aging). In SHAPES she created the personas and will lead the workshops.

Simone Schmitz, Fraunhofer INT

Presenting: Foresight Exercises

Mrs. Simone Schmitz, graduate laser engineer, works as a foresight scientist at Fraunhofer INT. She graduated from university of applied science in Remagen in 2007. She worked as a manufacturing engineer in a laser company for four years. 2011 she joined Fraunhofer INT as a laser engineer and set up a laser system. With the time she took over the management of irradiation projects This year she joined the team of corporate technology foresight.

During the first SHAPES Dialogue Workshop, Diana Freudendahl and Simone Schmitz will present how to conduct upcoming foresight exercises, including a broad audience, and making the results widely available for all interested parties in the SHAPES Project.

Nina Alapuranen, Laurea

Presenting: Ethical requirements

Mrs. Nina Alapuranen, MSc (law), BBA (safety, security and risk management), works as a project expert at Laurea UAS. In the SHAPES project, she holds the position of Data Protection Manager.

She graduated from Laurea UAS in 2006 and from Helsinki University of Law at 2016. She has worked on IT field over ten years and her main expertise areas are in risk- and continuity management and contract negotiations. As a lawyer, Nina Alapuranen has supported several organizations on privacy and data protection topics and she has wide experience on implementing legal data protection requirements to the organizations daily business.

During the first SHAPES Dialogue Workshop, Sari Sarlio-Siintola and Nina Alapuranen will present the work done so far by Laurea for SHAPES Legal, Ethics, Privacy and Fundamental Rights Protection.

Zdeněk Meier, Palacký University

Presenting: Use Cases and Personas

Mgr. Ing. Zdeněk Meier (M) studied Material Engineering at Technical University of Liberec and Social work with a focus on communication and applied psychotherapy at Prague College of Psychosocial Studies. At present, he is a Ph.D. candidate at OUSHI at Palacky University in Olomouc. There he manages project about Educations for ethnic minority. Simultaneously he works as psychotherapist at ESET clinic in Prague. His research focus is psychotherapy, spirituality, and assistive technology. As part of SHAPES, Zdeněk leads the UP team.

Markéta Pešoutová, Palacký University

Presenting: Use Cases and Personas

Mgr. Markéta Pešoutová (F) studied Psychology at Palacký University. Currently, she is a Ph.D. candidate at Social Institute of Health. Her dissertation focuses on guilt and shame and their relation to mental and physical health. Moreover, she is a qualitative researcher mainly in DIPEx methodology. In SHAPES she is a part of the UP team. She is the coordinator of the 1st Dialogue Workshop.

Diana Freudendahl, Fraunhofer INT

Presenting: Foresight Exercises

Mrs. Diana Freudendahl, PhD (chemistry), works as a foresight scientist at Fraunhofer INT. In the SHAPES project, she shares the project management for the SHAPES foresight exercises with Simone Schmitz. Diana Freudendahl graduated from Universität Greifswald in 2005 and from Cardiff University (School of Chemistry) at 2011. She has worked in the area of foresight over seven years and her main expertise areas are foresight methodologies for corporate technology foresight, especially in the area of materials sciences. She conducted a range of technological trend analyses and has supported several organizations and companies in strategic foresight projects.
