COIT is organising together with the Secretary of State for Telecommunications and Digital Infrastructures (SETID) the World Telecommunications and Information Society Day, whose theme this year is “Digital technologies for older people and healthy ageing”.

During the event, which was led by Juan Carlos López, member of the COIT Governing Board and professor at the UCLM, some innovative projects that bring technology and healthy ageing closer to the elderly were also presented, such as H2020 SHAPES (Smart and Healthy Ageing through People Engaging in Supportive Systems) and H2020 PHARAON (Pilots for Healthy and Active Ageing).

Xavier del Toro, Professor at the UCLM, was in charge of presenting the Shapes project at the event.
