The outbreak of COVID-19 has continued to seriously affect the daily lives of citizens and the economies of every country around the globe.

Temperature assessment may have an impact on reducing the spread of COVID-19 infections. Like what is done at the entrance of buildings, the idea of this use case is to use the robot to automatically measure the temperature of people. Coupled with an automatic door mechanism, the assembly allows to direct people to a COVID or non-COVID circuit depending on the level of the measured temperature. In this use case we propose to add a thermal camera module on the KOMPAÏ robot for non-contact body temperature measurement. This assessment may be used (a) as part of an initial check at entry points, for instance, of hospitals and nursing homes, to identify and triage people who may have elevated temperatures; and as continues monitoring inside nursing homes and hospitals during robot patrol.
