Overview:

The SHAPES Pan-European Pilot Campaign has engaged over 2,000 older individuals, care givers and care service providers in 36 pilot activities conducted in 15 pilot sites across 11 European Countries, including five EIP on AHA Reference Sites..

The pilot activities involve hundreds of key stakeholders to address the pressing needs of older individuals, as well as the requirements of health & care systems, and bring forward solutions to improve the health, well-being, independence and autonomy of older individuals while enhancing the long-term sustainability of health & care systems in Europe.

This dialogue workshop will share the first results of our large-scale pilot campaign, highlighting the impact that medicine control and optimisation, psycho-social and cognitive stimulation or physical rehabilitation at home may have on older people and their environments.

Results from the pilot campaign are also feeding into the establishment of the SHAPES governance model supporting and extending active ageing and independent living of older individuals.

The SHAPES governance model is created in a collaborative manner, including consultations with user representatives from individual, community, health and are system provision, industrial and commercial providers and policymakers to identify the optimal form of governance with older individuals’ participation in mind – engagement through this dialogue workshop will allow further elaboration of the SHAPES governance model.
