The SHAPES project was presented in a GOVCOPP Research Seminar (Research Unit on Governance, Competitiveness and Public Policies) on the 28th of September 2022. The seminar theme was Technology and Digitalisation, and it was approached in a multidisciplinary way, generating a fruitful dialogue and discussion across the entire GOVCOPP.

Within the SHAPES project, the University of Aveiro (Portugal) team, among other activities, is dedicated to evaluating the impact of using technology-mediated interventions in-home environments to improve the psycho-social and cognitive well-being of older individuals living in the community who are active and healthy, or who have mild chronic conditions.

Ana Isabel Martins (University of Aveiro, Portugal) presented the project’s major results and ongoing research with a special focus on the usability and user experience issues of technologies for older adults.
